Just last week, we reported on how Land Rover was set to make some major changes for the 2016 Range Rover Evoque. Now we know what the biggest one is going to be – a convertible version of the Range Rover Evoque. Land Rover has built its brand on making vehicles that are durable and luxurious at the same time, and the option to own a Land Rover convertible will bring a completely new dimension to Land Rover vehicles. Here at Land Rover Northfield, we are eagerly anticipating being able to drive around the Chicago area in an open-top Land Rover vehicle, while simultaneously enjoying all the technology and convenience features that it has to offer.

If you see this move as a huge departure for Land Rover vehicles, you should remember that the very first Land Rover cars that served in World War II were open top. In order to celebrate the announcement of the topless Range Rover Evoque, Land Rover released a video of the vehicle decked out in full camouflage, navigating the Crossrail tunnels below London. According to Murray Dietsch, they chose to shoot the new Land Rover underground because “The tunnels are still under construction, so we had a unique opportunity to explore the vehicle's all-terrain ability in uncharted territory.”

Apart from the fact that is has a drop top, we don't know much about the upcoming 2016 Range Rover Evoque. But Land Rover has promised that it will still retain all the off-road capabilities for which the automaker became famous. For drivers in Northfield and Highland Park, the Range Range Evoque for sale will hit our lot sometime in calendar year 2016.
