The 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport has been getting a lot of hype lately. It's not often that Land Rover introduces a new model, and as one of the top automakers in the world, Land Rover sets very high expectations for all of its new vehicles. Now that we're finally nearing the vehicle's highly anticipated release, some people have gotten a chance to get behind the wheel of the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport. The most recent was the Providence Journal, who had nothing but good things to say about the rugged crossover SUV.

If you're not old enough to remember, the Land Rover Discovery used to be a utilitarian and rugged SUV meant to traverse mountains--but not necessarily transport the kids to school in Northfield. Well, the renovated and revitalized Land Rover Discovery Sport is a seven-passenger SUV that is equally suited for cruising around in Northfield as well as going where the pavement ends. Here at Land Rover Northfield, we also learned that even the base level of the vehicle will come standard with all-wheel-drive, skid plates, and the sophisticated Land Rover Terrain Response and other off-road systems which automatically optimize performance for a variety of landscapes.

When they buy this new Land Rover for sale, Highland Park-area residents will also be treated to a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder engine that cranks out 240 horsepower and 251 pound-per-foot of torque, as well as a smooth nine-speed automatic transmission. On the interior, luxuries include an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, premium audio, a push-button start, satellite radio, USB charging ports, and 12-volt outlets.

Look for the 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport to hit our dealership in the coming weeks!
