Although the Range Rover line is normally a smaller and more refined version of the larger Land Rover vehicles, there's a new version of the Range Rover that is about to change that. The 2015 Land Rover Range Rover SVR has been described by Land Rover as the SUV with the “broadest range of capability on Earth,” and a test driver at “Autoweek” called the vehicle the “fastest, most powerful Range Rover ever.” Soon to arrive here at your home for a new Land Rover in Northfield, the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover SVR is a true off-roading utility SUV with plenty of interior refinement.
The 2015 Land Rover Range Rover SVR is the first ever Land Rover vehicle created by its Special Operations group, as well as the first Range Rover badged “R.” Perhaps the biggest difference-maker in the SVR version of the Range Rover is what lies underneath the hood of this Range Rover. Highland Park-area residents who drive this car are treated to a super-powerful 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that cranks out 550 horsepower and 502 pound-per-foot of torque. The new Switchable Active Sports Exhaust system gives the SVR the extra power boost.
Additionally, the re-tooled suspension includes re-profiled air springs, more aggressive Active Roll Control, and new adaptive shocks that give a more dynamic range of damping rates. Elsewhere, the eight-speed automatic transmission has also been altered, and now delivers shifts that are 50 percent quicker. On the inside, the changes to the SVR continue with unique sport seats and a standard Dark Engine Turned Aluminum trim, and drivers can also choose a full carbon trim for a small price increase.
Look for the new 2015 Land Rover Range Rover SVR to hit Land Rover Winnetka in the near future!
