As we've seen with the release of the all-new 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport, Land Rover is not an automaker to rest on its laurels and release small updates to its cars year after year. Instead, the talented engineers at Land Rover headquarters at constantly hard at work on new vehicle designs that are set to revolutionize the automotive industry, just as the brand has done in the past. The latest news to come from Land Rover is that the automaker is going to release a roof-less version of one of its most popular SUVs.

Here at Land Rover Northfield, the new 2016 Range Rover Evoque is a favorite among Northfield drivers looking for an SUV that combines ultra-luxury and off-road prowess. Land Rover is going to take the Evoque to new places with a brand new convertible version of the SUV. The tentatively named Range Rover Evoque Convertible will debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. Land Rover released photos of the new Evoque – albeit in a disguised form – and it appears as if the SUV will retain the overall style of the standard version of the Evoque.

This is the first time in 70 years that Land Rover has introduced a new roof-less SUV to the lineup, but we can expect this new Range Rover to still retain the off-road heritage of the brand. The company says it engineered the Evoque Convertible to handle dirt, water, and mountains just as well as its more traditional siblings in the Range Rover lineup. Look for the Range Rover Evoque Convertible to go on sale early in 2016.

To check out the newest Range Rover, Highland Park-area drivers simply need to head on over to Land Rover Northfield.
