The
2017 Range Rover Sport is on the horizon, and here at Land Rover
Northfield, we had the privilege of getting an advance view of the
off-road-focused SUV. If you’ve had the opportunity to drive any
previous versions of the Range Rover Sport, like the 2016
Range Rover Sport,
you’ll know that the SUV provides an unbeatable combination of
off-road prowess, interior luxury, and impressive engine power. From
what we saw of the new version of this vehicle, it will take all
these advantages and push them a step further.
One of the biggest additions to the 2017 Range Rover Sport will be of the electronic variety. New electronic features include Blind Spot Assist, Intelligent Speed Limiter, and Advanced Tow Assist, which facilitates the task of making maneuvers with a trailer in tow. To activate this high-tech feature, the driver dials in where the trailer needs to go using the rearview camera’s footage and the Terrain Response 2 system, and the Range Rover Sport automatically steers itself into the desired spot.
To aid in your off-road adventures near Winnetka IL, Land Rover upgraded the All-Terrain Info Center. It now displays important information such as vehicle geometry, slope assist engagement, and wheel information using the surround-view cameras to help drivers make tight maneuvers on the trail. The inside of the car gets improvements as well, starting with the new infotainment system called InControl Touch Pro, which has a 10.2-inch screen. The screen was designed to be as intuitive as a smartphone, and there will be a dedicated smartphone application that lets motorists remotely check the fuel level, lock or unlock the doors, adjust climate control, or even start the SUV.
