Here at Land Rover Northfield, we try to stay relevant and up to date on current technologies whether or not they are found inside of Land Rover vehicles. One of our recent favorites is Spotify, which is a music streaming service with a vast library of music. Users of Spotify are able to make their own playlist, listen to any song in their large database on-demand, and listen to curated radio stations based on genre or artist. Now you may be asking, what does this have to do with Land Rover SUVs? Well, the latest news out of Land Rover headquarters is that Spotify will now be available on every new Land Rover SUV.
Whether you buy a new Range Rover Sport near Deerfield, IL or a different Land Rover vehicle, it comes with the InControl Apps infotainment system. If you’re not familiar with this suite of in-cabin technologies, InControl Apps provides drivers and passengers with a way to connect their smartphones, whether they’re Androids or iPhones, to the dashboard infotainment system of their vehicle. The newest addition to InControl Apps is Spotify.
The general look and feel of Spotify will be replicated on the large touchscreens found inside of Land Rover vehicles. If you don’t want to go through your data cap on your smartphone plan, you can also use Offline Mode to play previously downloaded music. The app integration will also include personalized playlists from Spotify’s algorithms. Additionally, two artists, Ricky Wilson from Kaiser Chiefs and Example, teamed up with Land Rover to add their own curated playlists of driving music.
